From: Steve F. Waxahatchie, Texas - I am a new user of hauptwerk and new to the community forum....when i first discovered hauptwerk i knew i had to build my own organ. So i ran out to my local store and bought a new computer system and downloaded hauptwerk.

Next i connected my keyboards, amp, speakers and my 32 note midi pedalboard (an ebay find)....i was ready to play

or so i thought.....lttle did i know all that was involved in getting my St Anne's hauptwerk organ to play.....

i have no technical knowledge of how a computer works other than it has an on and off button.

As my luck goes, a week after i bought my computer system, i discovered a complete ready to play hauptwerk organ sold by organtechnology.com. Since i had just purchased a new computer system, i contacted Thomas Gentry at Organtechnology and for a very reasonable fee he offered to set up my organ so that i could begin playing. Trust me, it was well worth the fee. I can't thank Tom enough. He is very skilled, a wealth of information about hauptwerk and really great person to work with. My computer system has a two channel audio output but I have visions of a much bigger organ......i would like to build at least a four manual organ.....I plan to purchase a computer system fromwww.organtechnology.com with an eight channel setup that is ready to play out of the box.....i will leave all that technical stuff to the professionals.....thank you again Tom....
